Founded in 2018 in Melbourne, Australia, AQUEA was established by a team of seasoned professionals with a proven track record in developing innovative products for the global pool and spa industry.

All AQUEA products are designed in Australia using advanced 3D CAD systems and prototyping technologies. Each product is meticulously developed, tested, and refined before tooling and manufacturing. We work closely with pool professionals throughout the design process to ensure our solutions are easy to install, adaptable on-site, and contribute to beautiful, high-performance pool finishes.
Safety is central to our design philosophy. Every AQUEA product is engineered with best-practice safety features and complies with relevant Australian Safety Standards. Built to last, our products offer long-term reliability and peace of mind for both professionals and pool owners.

Meet the AQUEA Team
Behind every AQUEA product is our passionate team committed to combining smart design with real-world practicality for the pool industry.
Marc has been an Industrial Designer since 1997, working in design consulting and product development. At AQUEA, he wears many hats, from operations to finance and sales, bringing a relentless focus on process improvement, lateral thinking and rigour to each role.
Weekends are all about watching his kids in sports and dance. An early morning gym-goer, Marc also plays guitar and loves a round of golf—though he is still chasing that elusive hole-in-one!
With over 25 years of experience in product development across various sectors and markets, Simon brings a hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for thoughtful design to his role at AQUEA. He leads new product development and marketing activities with enthusiasm and expertise.
When he’s not in the office, you can often find Simon in his home workshop, working on his latest woodworking project.
With over 43 years of industry experience, David began his career at Onga Pumps in Melbourne, moved to self-employment with JD Plastics, and then co-owned Spa Electrics. As Technical Director at Spa Electrics, he led the development of market-leading underwater pool lighting products. After 10 years, David left Spa Electrics and bought Legend Products and Services in Queensland, driving rapid growth. He co-founded AQUEA to continue his passion and focus on innovative pool and landscaping products.
David enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially boating and fishing. He is an active industry member, mentoring and encouraging the next generation of professionals. David also mentors’ people in need, freely giving his time to help others improve their lives.
